Our second visit was not at all. No dstv, faulty aircon, and at one stage there was no bread at breakfast.

Lots of improvement

We went there expecting the worst after reading a lot of bad reviews.To our suprise, the room we had was clean, it also ideal for our family. Water was warm, aircon worked, good channeks on tv. The best suprise was having both shower and bath options. Breakfast buffet was good. We used this place as our stop over, so we could tour around, and I would advise others to do the same. Phumzile, the receptionist, wss very nice and helpful. We left a packaage there, and it was sent to us the mext day.

Was disappointed

I made a booking and had the option to pay on arrival but when l got there they had sold the rooms l booked. I had travelled all the way from Johannesburg and had children. Luckily there had extra standard rooms that l had to settle for because the family rooms l had initially booked had been sold to others without any communication. That was a bit disappointing .

Gatz guest house...thumbs down

Place is beautiful but doesnt match the hospitality. The service staff are not attentive, they dont deliver on what they have promised. They sit out in groups in the sun with no regard for the guests... stare and talk about guests. Our tv was broken and not working, the service guy spoke to us and spoke to us like we were his nephews or nieces...way too casual and still didn't fix the problem...when the manager offered that we use another room to access the television, he told the kids not to sit on the bed because we had been done a favour for. We stayed with that guy for so long, it felt like we were ay home on an inconvenient day with a maintenance guy...absolutely no boundaries nor professionalism, almost like the business doesn'tneed the money. The breakfast wasn't ready on time...they hadnt cooked sufficient food for all guests. Most of our families ate at seperate times and the hostess didnt know how to respond to times it was going to take when asked by guests. We ingormed the manager that we were coming there because it was my son's birthday, going to Sun city on Sunday, no wishes were made and we took just over 2hrs with our now demanded food coming in drips and drapes...we were so dissapointed. What a waste of money on food and service. The was a function the night before, we were not informed that there'd be one...so we had loud music the entire night umtil.the next morning. Staff is allowex to play loud music while preparing by the bar at all hours
