10.0Fantastic stay at the Elephant stables. Niehal and the team were so friendly and helpful and welcoming. The room was very comfortable with amazing views over Kandy. Food was superb. Highly recommended

9.0Lovely contrast from commercial large hotels. Bespoke service with a fabulous view and stunning food. Although the set menu was $38 per person, well worth it and the best food we have had so far in Sri Lanka. The family room was excellent for a family with older teenagers with plenty of room. Staff could not have done anymore.

10.0Elephant Stables is well located on the outskirts of Kandy, away from the hustle and bustle. It is a beautiful residence turned boutique hotel. The pool and garden are beautiful. The rooms are very well appointed, well sized and comfortable. But the real appeal of elephant stables are the staff, they work well together and treat you like family. Indika, the chef, does a wonderful job with the food and ensures you are happy with what is served.
Lovely place to stop for a night after a drive from Sigiriya and ahead of long day travelling to Ella.
8.0Very welcoming staff, beautifully decorated reception room. Fun to stay in the Royal Tent, plenty of space and beautiful bathroom. Great facilities in room. Very pretty gardens with two tortoises, swimming pool and ornamental ponds. Stunning views on two sides. Really enjoyed being up out of the town. Staff very friendly and helpful and organised Tuktuks down to Kandy (10 mins) and back.

10.0Such wonderful staff a beautiful location with great views 15 minutes from Kandy by Turk Turk The food was the best yet and the family had a cooking demonstration by the chef. Brilliant!
