10.0Everything was beautiful and peaceful. The bed was comfortable and the shower and soaking tub were so nice. The grounds were gorgeous. Breakfast buffet at Dixie cafe was delicious and the view out the huge windows enjoyable. The museum was great. Dinner at the Carriage House was also special. People were friendly and helpful. No crowds, quiet and serene.

Houmas House Estate and Gardens - Romantic Anniversary Location
10.0We have visited Houmas House almost every year since 2005. The gardens and grounds are magical. There are benches located around the mansion where you can sit with the one you love and admire the house and gardens. After the Inn at Houmas House cottages were built. we started visiting on or near our anniversary. Number D3 is our favorite cottage. That bed! The Carriage House Restaurant is amazing. The food is the best! Houmas House and Gardens is "our" place for a perfect anniversary.
