Erilainen rentouttava loma
10.0Ihastuttava pieni hotelli, jossa isäntä Ivan huolehtii asiakkaistaan luotettavasti. Koko henkilökunta ystävällistä ja näin tarttuu avoin, hyväksyvä ilmapiiri myös asiakkaisiin. Huoneet ovat pelkistettyjä ja värikkäitä. TV:n ja jääkaapin puute ajaa vieraat yhteisiin tiloihin seurustelemaan keskenään. Illallista Ivan tarjoaa noin joka toinen ilta. Päivällä alustavan menuun pohjalta tehdään varaukset ja Ivan hankkii tuoreet paikalliset raaka-aineet. Menu oli italialais-mauritiuslainen runsaine monimuotoisine alkupaloineen, maukkaan salaattin kera, maistuva pääruoka sekä yllätysjälkiruoka. Koko hotellin väki, vieraat ja henkilökunta osallistuvat pitkään pöytään katettuun illalliseen, kielien sekamelska yltyy, kun eri puolilta maapalloa saapuneet vieraat vaihtavat mielipiteitään ja kertovat kokemuksistaan. Läheinen ranta oli käyttökelvoton rankkasateiden vuoksi. Onneksi sillä lyhyen ajomatkan päässä sijaitsee ihastuttava Le Mornen ranta, kalliojyrkänteineen ja hiekkarantoineen - yksi parhaista kokemistani. Chamarel, viidakko vuoristo alue on myös jotain ainutlaatuista - nähtävää riittää. Kiitos Ivan! Chez Jacques Guest House on hyvä paikka viettää lomaa ja kaipaamme edelleen illallisia. Tamarin on mielenkiintoinen, paikallinen kylä, josta löytyy hakemalla koettavaa tai sitten voi vain lepäillä ja nauttia lämmöstä.
Cosy place in local neighbourhood
8.0Chez Jacques is a very relaxed, cozy place in a local neighbourhood away from the all-inclusive hotels. The surfspots of Tamarin Bay are at your doorstep. Manager Iwan is a genuine friendly guy and very helpful in giving advice about things to do, advice on where to surf, sorting out transport at affordable prices, etc, etc. Enjoyed my stay and without a doubt, would stay there again.

8.0Very good low budget hotel. Just 100m to the ocean. The dinner cooked by Ivan was grate. Ivan can give you the best recommendations for the near sights and attractions and reserve the place at the boat for dolphin visit - wonderful attraction.
Warm and welcoming
8.0Great location, very well managed, friendly and helpful staff, unpretentious (does not claim to be 5-star but is clean and comfortable with 5-star food).
Lush place to stay with a really friendly host.
10.0Beautiful guest house, 30 second walk to the beach. The host Ivan was brilliant. Happy to sort anything out for you and cooks dinner most nights. Highly recommend staying here if you are heading to Tamarin.
