Find Another Place To Stay!
2.0Just stayed here for two nights, July 17th and 18th, and have stayed on occasion since the property opened in 2016 as I have family in the area. I was never so glad to check out of a hotel! Upon checking in was advised the elevator was out of order, which came as no surprise as it is about the worst hotel elevator I’ve ever encountered even when it was brand new. I was advised by the clerk that management was not holding anyone to their reservation and that I could cancel without any charge. Where I was supposed to stay if I canceled apparently was not their concern. I’m a retired commercial insurance inspector and sadly, this place now reeks of DEFERRED MAINTENANCE. I was advised when checking out that the property was just sold and the new owners have big plans, but that does nothing for those of us who paid good money to stay there. It’s the little things that cost nothing to do right that if not done makes you wonder about the big things. My room (305) was near the end of the corridor, so I used the steps at the far end of the building. There is trash can just outside the exit. The can was overflowing when I checked in on Friday at 5:30 and was still overflowing when I checked out on Sunday at 10:30. And then there was my room. Either the building has settled or the door frame has been damaged, but attempting to open and close the door was just about impossible. (Housekeeping doesn’t make note of these things?) Upon entering the room I was greeted from above by a roaring sound that never dissipated. Possibly a compressor on the roof in need of servicing? The wall AC/Heat unit apparently has not been serviced in forever, due to it sounding like a jet engine outside the window every time the compressor kicked on. Even with ear plugs, the vibration from the unit made sleeping impossible without disengaging the AC and just running the fan continuously. The shower water pressure was terrible and attempting to keep the water temperature from either scalding or freezing was also impossible. The TV remote looked like a first generation remote used by Time Warner/Spectrum decades ago and was held together by electrical tape. There’s a Motel 6 adjacent to this property and if I didn’t know any better and if I hadn’t spent $385 on my two nights (with no offer of any adjustment!) I would have thought that was where I stayed! I’ll be looking around the area for new accommodation before my next trip to the area and if it is not too late you should do the same.
Untrustworthy, broken elevators
2.0I am checking out as I write this review. We stayed at this hotel because it was the host location for our family reunion. Overall, the hotel was just okay, but several issues made the experience disappointing. When we arrived, the elevators were not working, so we had to carry our luggage up to the third floor. In our room, the bathroom sink had very low water pressure and drained extremely slowly. The lighting in the room was also dim and had an unpleasant yellow tint. The most frustrating issue happened after checkout. We spent a little time in another family member’s room before leaving, and my son realized that he had forgotten his large satin pillow. We checked the family member’s room and determined that it must have been left in our room. However, the pillow was not in the room and had not been turned in to the front desk as a lost item. The manager was not helpful and repeatedly stated that no pillow had been found. Her dismissive response was irritating and made me feel as though my concerns were not being taken seriously. The pillow did not simply disappear. While it can easily be replaced, the larger issue is the lack of accountability and concern regarding a guest’s missing property. This experience left me feeling that the hotel is untrustworthy. Guests should be able to leave personal belongings behind accidentally and feel confident that hotel staff will handle the situation honestly and professionally.

7.0The room was comfortable and clean.
− The elevator was broken. And water pressure in shower was awful. I have lung issues. Taking the stairs almost sent me to the ER. That was a terrible ordeal. The staff didn't seem to cate about the elevator being down.. i understand the issue, they showed no mercy. I think next year we will find some other hotel. My sister has arthritis and had a very difficult time getting up the stairs.
How do you not immediately fix a broken elevator in a motor hotel?!
5.0I could sleep somewhere.
− the elevator wasn't working in a motel that is traveled to only by people coming off an Interstate highway..by car. People traveling this way always have stuff that needs to brought in from their car for safety of valuables and to discourage cars being broken in to. They did not notify us. Fortunately we arrived early and got the LAST room on the ground floor since I was traveling with my 90 year old mother. Breakfast was truly awful as well.
