We enjoyed our stay at AoPong for its location at the wonderful snorkeling location.
7.0The location with a beautiful coral reef right in front of the bungalows We loved watching the thunderstorms over the water at night. Despite the low season, Mihal & Riam were kind to provide us with a motorbike for rent and a snorkel when ours gave out. Because of the wet season, there were renovations being done on the bungalow we reserved, so we were given an upgrade, which was kind (even if learning upon arrival took us by surprise) Just be mindful that the location on the reef is unmatched for the island!!! but you do need to be steady on a motorbike due to the flooded, muddy road leading to the home stay during the rainy season.
− For the bungalow we reserved, the mattress could use an upgrade. Despite there being daily delivery of water, instant coffee supplies, and toilet paper (thank you) cleaning isn’t done or proposed by the staff, which could be appreciated for stays of 2+ nights.

− We were in AoPong in early June 2026. But unfortunately the beach was very stony and you need water-shoes to go into the water. Because of low-season (rain season) there was no breakfast and the path to the resort was impassable. We payed for 14 days but only stayed for 4 days, the owner offered us 20% refund but we haven't received anything back so far...

8.0The location here is unbeatable - wake up overlooking the ocean and you always have the beach to yourself! Good AC and nice to have a little fridge too! Was easy to rent a bike & a good base for exploring the island - but lovely to come back to the peace and quiet!
− We stayed in one of the older cabins which we loved the rustic wooden feel of, however, some new pillows would be a good touch!

10.0The best place where I stayed during my travel in Thailand. I extended my stay and left only because was fully booked, then I came back after a few days. Good size bungalows with patio and comfortable bed from which you can see the sunrise over the sea. Fully immerse in nature, only sounds of the waves and jungle birds, Gekos and some misterious animals. The beach is peaceful and exclusive, it was like having the beach just for myself, and few more guests It is the perfect place if you wish to create or writing a book, or just just having a quiet peaceful time. They bring water to make coffe every morning in your room. You can rent a scooter there for 250bath - same price all over the small island. The owner Michel and all the staff are very helpful and kind. I will come back for sure whenever I'll be back in Thailand. Thank you!!
− I may just add some extra plugs - I was given a plug extension when requested, so no much of an issue
