4.0Bed hot water and house
− Off hand welcome with no offer to help with our luggage up the stairs. Towels smelt and a well used hotel sewing kit in a jewellery box in the room suggested that someone couldn’t be bothered. Slept well and going downstairs in the morning smelt the delicious odour of Welsh bacon and looked forward to a typical cooked breakfast. Hostess pointed to our table and asked about drinks; eventually I asked about our cooked breakfast and was told abruptly that we don’t cook for guests but there was a large buffet laid out. It looked as though it had come out of storage and having had bad experiences from such a large assortment for a small clientele (3) we declined (except for muesli). My wife had the corner of a cheap croissant and some bread made in a machine with not much imagination. On leaving they hid in the kitchen.
