Lovely accommodation but disappointing food
4.0The room was excellent - spacious, comfortable and very clean and quiet.
− The menu for the pub was not what we had anticipated when we booked. The menu had nothing that we felt we could eat. We are not keen on spicy food, fatty food or large portions of meat. 3 out of the 4 starters were served with sweet chilli sauce, so that ruled them out. Of the mains, the meat portions were very large. The fish and chips would be fatty, the curry, chicken madras and tagine were no good for us as they were spicy, and we don't like burgers. It might appear that we are fussy eaters, but we just like something simple and not spicy. We would have been content with the Swedish meatballs, salmon or chicken and mushroom pie that shows up on your website. Maybe you need to update your website when the menu changes. It was a shame as we don't often eat out and this was going to be a treat.
