close to culinary food places, especially durian, surrounded by durian sales. next to Seven Eleven so it's easy to find drinking water.

− To find a Grab, parking is a bit difficult, sometimes we are dropped off across the street from the hotel if we are coming from the Grab side, but if we are going in the same direction, we can get right in front of the hotel. Overall, we are satisfied with our stay here. The receptionist served me well and politely. I wanted to check out at dawn but was served quickly and didn't take long.

Hotel 118 can be better with customer service mindset

The location near to many restaurants, many hotels option along jalan macalister, hawker stalls (lorong baru), sun yat sen memorial hall, pulau pinang museum, many durian stalls, watsons. The nearest laundry is about 10 mins walk away (Polar wash and dry - 25mins RM9, 25mins dry RM9). The surroundings were good for those who like to enjoy a variety of food without going to far. − Dear [Platform/Customer Service Team], I am writing to provide feedback on a recent 3‑night stay (16–19 June), during which the 1st and 3rd nights were significantly disrupted by recurring midnight road construction directly outside the hotel. Despite raising the issue after the first incident, the hotel took a purely reactive approach—requiring my family to relocate rooms in the middle of the night on both occasions. These alternative rooms were offered for sleeping only, without moving our luggage, which added further inconvenience. This was particularly concerning as our group included an elderly family member (80+ years old) with a heart condition, for whom sudden sleep disruption and late-night movement could pose health risks. The experience resulted in considerable stress, inconvenience, and avoidable discomfort. I strongly recommend that the hotel improve in proactive room allocation, clearer communication on potential disturbances, and avoid requiring guests—especially vulnerable individuals—to move rooms overnight. While I acknowledge the staff’s effort to provide backup rooms, the overall handling fell short of reasonable guest experience expectations. Given the extent of the disruption (2 out of 3 nights), I would appreciate it if you could review the impact of this experience and consider what may be appropriate under the circumstances, as well as share this feedback with the hotel for improvement. De locatie.

− De zogenaamd “niet-roken kamer” was erg vies. Bij binnenkomst hing er een zware rooklucht aan alles: gordijnen, beddengoed en matras.. alles rook naar sigaretten. Na even in het bed te liggen rook je de nicotine zelfs aan je armen en kleding. We hebben dit bij het personeel gemeld, maar er werd volgehouden dat er niet in de kamer gerookt was, ondanks duidelijke sigarettenbrandplekken. Onze klacht werd totaal niet serieus genomen en er werd niets gedaan om het op te lossen. Door de vieze kamer en de onverschillige houding van het personeel zijn wij eerder vertrokken. Absoluut geen aanrader.
