The beds were awesome

− On my last full day, baseball players started arriving early in the day for a big competition for the weekend. Originally, when I arrived I asked for an upper floor away from the elevator. The clerk must have thought it was funny to put me on the first floor in room #102 next to the stairs and side exit/entrance. It wasn’t too bad until Wednesday when the teams arrived, the teenagers took full advantage of those stairs from 2pm until 1am!! I had developed a bad headache in the afternoon and tried to rest but unfortunately they knew nothing about walking down the stairs quietly!! In the evening when I tried to go to sleep it was even worse to the point I met the boys as they came out the asking them to be a little quieter while almost breaking down in tears. I think they thought this was funny because they went out of their way to make it even more noisier. I eventually called the front desk and the girl was apologetic around 11pm but a lot of good that did me but said she would make an announcement?? I know the lobby by the pool table was congested and rowdy from morning until late night. My sons were in lots of sports and did competitions, I would have never allowed them nor myself to act in such a way ie these parents and children did!! Nor do I think the hotels would have allowed it, you should always think of your guests who are not there for competitions as well. They deserve a considerable quiet stay.

I was here to attend the Kentucky Derby, and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone else who ever wants to come

First and most of the staff was very, very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. They provided also a very large meal my first night there which was the weekend of the Kentucky Derby. It was laid out for a guess, and it was delicious, more food than anybody could eat. Also, they were free mint tulips. I thought this was well above and beyond what anyone would expect. Also I was given a free Christmas ornament, celebrating the derby before I left. They had those out on a table for all the guests. Your staff was helpful and answered questions and helped us locate transportation to and from the Derby. All in all a wonderful stay. The facilities were clean, neat and well cared for. The breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety of food. Everything from eggs to cereal to bagels to fruit. The location was great. I was there for the Derby and it wasn’t far at all. It was away from the crowds and yet close enough to be accessible. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and if I’m ever in this area again, I will definitely stay here.

The room was cozy and quiet, at the end of the hall, away from traffic noises. The breakfast was good, and the coffee was excellent!
