1.0The bed.
− Check-in was at 3. Our room wasn’t ready until after 6. Check out was at 12. They came banging on our door for a good solid 2 minutes trying to clean it at 9:30.
Wi-Fi and unannounced power outage cut my stay short
2.0I had booked a week-long stay at this Hyatt House but ended up checking out after just one night due to two issues. First, I couldn't get the in-room Wi-Fi to connect — I tried troubleshooting myself and also got help from the front desk, but it couldn't be resolved. Since I needed reliable internet for work, this was a real problem. Second, I was told the hotel would have a scheduled 5-hour power outage overnight the following day. Between the connectivity issue and the upcoming outage, I decided to check out early and find alternate accommodation. To their credit, the front desk only charged me for the one night I actually stayed, which I appreciated, they were prompt to help in their capacity. A couple of minor suggestions: since this is a Hyatt House (typically used for extended stays), and indoor pool was a big plus, a wider range of gym equipment would be a nice addition, and more vegetarian options at breakfast would also help. Overall, the property and staff were courteous, but the Wi-Fi and power outage issues meant this didn't work out for my needs on this trip.
