Serious decline in quality and service
2.0I travel frequently and rarely feel compelled to write reviews, but in this case, the experience warrants it. I recently (July 2026) stayed at Château Arnaud for four nights and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The receptionist was consistently rude and unhelpful, which set a negative tone from the moment we arrived. The room was in poor condition. The carpet was heavily worn and looked like it should have been replaced years ago, the furniture was beaten up, and the room had a persistent unpleasant smell. The TV was outdated, and the channel lineup did not match the listing on the card provided in the room, making it frustrating to use. The Wi‑Fi was extremely slow and unreliable, making even basic browsing difficult. Most concerning, the room was never cleaned during our entire stay. No fresh towels, no replenished supplies, and no housekeeping service whatsoever. Given these issues, I cannot recommend this property to future travellers.
