A great stay within a short distance to the theatre we were visiting.
8.0Good selection to suit all tastes
− Maybe a small fridge to keep drinks cool
It was ok I did report that the hairdryer was in a dangerous condition it had melted with overheating luckily I brought
7.0Location
A relaxing stay with good beds a friendly staff
8.0A good location and a relaxed atmosphere.
− Nothing I disliked about the property but the breakfast buffet was cold and had obviously been on display for some time. We sat at 9am.
Tired but great place to meet.
9.0Architecture from outside. Fact it had a pool and spa.
− A little dated but that was reflected in the price paid. Shower kept going hot and cold!
A comfortable stay in a historic building with the luxury of a pool
7.0Staff overall were really friendly and helpful and always ready to meet our needs, the bed was comfortable and breakfast, though self service, was kept replenished with hot items hot and fresh. I enjoyed being able to have a swim in the spa pool, having the Ramblewood on site to get an evening meal and having nice biscuits in our room to have with our post meal cuppa.
− More information would have been helpful on our arrival e.g. the location of towels for the spa in a cupboard in our room, times and location of breakfast. We had stayed in the hotel previously so did know where to find things like the breakfast room and spa but would have preferred to have been reminded of these details. Would have preferred better quality cups/mugs at breakfast and not to have to reject a hot plate as there was egg residue on it - little details like this jarred a little with the attentiveness of staff which felt 4*
