8.0From the moment we arrived, the welcome and check‑in were incredibly friendly and efficient. The afternoon tea was absolutely amazing — a great selection of treats, beautifully presented, and the service throughout was excellent. Overall, every member of staff we encountered during our stay was extremely helpful and made the experience feel special.
− The grounds could use a little more attention, as some outdoor areas were slightly overgrown. In the seating area we used, a few of the paving flags were uneven, which raised some concerns about potential trips — especially as we were visiting with my dad, who is less mobile. However, this did not affect our overall experience, and we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Poor night sleep due to hotel being a wedding venue.

− I was not aware that this hotel was also a wedding venue. With this a poor night sleep due to noise of wedding and other guests in the corridors, late into the night. This should be made clear on booking sites

Pleasant stay.
7.0In rural location but not too far from M6 although a little difficult to find. Excellent breakfast - best full English breakfast we have had in a Hotel for many years. Hotel is a little dated and in need of refurbishing in some places.
− Toaster needs changing - despite attempting several times it would only toast one side of the bread. There was a Wedding Reception which we could hear but it didn't disturb us too much.
