− Nothing in particular. I needed a walk in shower owing to a disability and was told I had one but there were some stairs. When I got to the room there was a shower over the bath which is difficult for me, but we managed.

− Great location, disappointing service The hotel is very well located, which was the main positive of our stay. Unfortunately, the welcome let it down. On arrival, the receptionist greeted us with "oh, you're the last ones I'm waiting for, I thought you were corporate!" It was not the warmest start. The rooms themselves felt tired and dated, and for the price we paid they did not represent good value. Breakfast was enjoyable, but again the service fell short. Before sitting down, we asked whether we could move away from the middle of the room and were met with "oh, you want to sit somewhere else?" The whole thing felt rushed, as though the staff were simply keen to finish their shift. A good location cannot make up for a poor welcome and rooms in need of refurbishment.
