Absolutely fantastic but lose the breakfast buffet
10.0We enjoyed this property so much that after one day we canceled the rest of our trip and stayed for a total of five nights. We absolutely adored the property, the staff and our well appointed room. The highlights are truly the beach and pool staff . Patrick, Big Mike, Javier, I know I’m forgetting a few. And the staff at the bar, hector and (I think) Mary. Everyone was amazing. We went off peak season, which was amazing and we just kind of felt like we had a place to ourselves There were so many places to hang out and just be by yourself and have a minute - there’s tons of little cabanas and couches and beds. You can hang out on - all are complementary. The one thing you should know is that this is on a hill. I actually enjoyed it. Gave me a little exercise from all the cocktails and cheatingI did with my diet, but if you are not OK with walking up and down hills, this might not be a spot for you. That one piece of feedback I would give to the hotel is that the breakfast is really an issue. They are really pitching the breakfast buffet and it turns into a bone of contention for the guest. I discussed this with many other guests. “We do not want the breakfast buffet” was the joke. They will continue to try and push the breakfast buffet and nickel and dime you for every single thing you get à la carte We very much disliked breakfast every day. You can’t get breakfast by the pool you can’t get breakfast on the beach. You have to sit in the same restaurant and the food takes 35 to 45 minutes because they’re pushing the buffet. It was absolutely obscene and quite frustrating. Other than that, we loved everything - please change the breakfast buffet and let people order à la carte normally and have the food come out in a reasonable amount of time. It literally is a dealbreaker. We won’t be back until that has changed.
Truly paradise. ❤️
10.0My husband and I just finished our stay at Zemi Beach House and all we can say is Wow! This property and the staff are absolutely amazing. Anguilla as a whole is such a special place that has not yet been overrun with cruise ship excursions which makes your time on the beach incredible. We stayed at zemi for 6 nights and made our way up and down the beach to enjoy a few of the local restaurants and bars. Great food and great people. Zemi - Complimentary continental breakfast and the breakfast team are phenomenal - and we don’t typically eat breakfast. They also have a complimentary made to order egg station. Complimentary SunBum (30spf) available throughout property PLENTY of beach chairs and poolside chairs even when reserved early by others. We never had an issue getting chairs on the spot. No up-charges for cabanas or sun beds. Poolside and beach service - excellent Bar service - excellent Dinner service - excellent This was our first time not going with an all inclusive. I truly feel it was worth it. The food and drinks were much better than what we have experienced at some AIs. The Thai Spa! OMG. BOOK IT. don’t second guess this. It’s amazing. The scents and sounds calm you almost instantly when you cross the threshold. Tuesday (and Thursday) yoga with Sammie at the spa - perfect and much needed after walking the beach for days. The gym - again - excellent. Full set of dumbbells and kettlebells as well as assist machines and treadmills. Btw - complimentary bottled water - all day, every day. You will need it 😉. Bugs - honestly didn’t see any. I usually get eaten alive by mosquitos in the US. Only a couple bites here. So grateful. Okay now for the most important part - the people. A special thank you to the following team members for taking such great care of us and making us feel super special: Charisma - front desk and welcome tour Shavicia - bartender Rohon - wait staff Jean - bartender Indgri - massage therapist Hector- beach service and bartender Stacey Penn - waitress am Tracy - bartender Eulalia (aka Nina) -wait staff Female Manager of 20knots! She is so pleasant and keeps everything running smoothly. Gift shop/boutique Manager! Amazing as well. Both ladies are so incredibly personable. Breakfast and dinner Hostesses ❤️ And Paulo - the General Manager. Thank you for the cocktail reception and the time you spent with our group entertaining my myriad of questions. 😉You have created a special oasis and experience at Zemi Beach ❤️. Your staff is truly the best of the best. ❤️Please take care of them first and foremost, and the rest will fall into place. We thank you for your hospitality and can’t wait to visit again. Lyndsey and JT.
Very pleased
10.0Location excellent for chilling and snorkeling off the beach. Many restaurants 15-30 minute drive. Ask for uppermost floor, best views. Very good service. Breakfast pricey, small portions, but everywhere you eat is pricey. Free coffee in am, but weird when I wanted ice in it they said it’s now an ice coffee and would be $6.00. Other than that, wonderful
Beautiful Property, Disappointing Hospitality
4.0I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share this experience so that other travelers can make an informed decision. My guests and I traveled from the US (Rhode Island, New York, and Georgia respectively) to celebrate three birthdays in St. Martin and Anguilla. After extensive research, we selected Zemi Beach House for what was intended to be one of the signature experiences of our trip: a spa and beach day. Prior to our visit, we coordinated extensively with both the Spa and Guest Services teams. We booked three Balinese Timeless massages, purchased three beach day passes, and specifically shared that we were celebrating birthdays. We were told that no lunch reservation was needed and looked forward to spending the afternoon enjoying the resort. Upon arrival, breakfast service had just ended. While we completely understood that breakfast was no longer available, we were surprised to learn that there appeared to be no practical food option available to us before our spa treatments despite being paying spa and beach day guests who had traveled from another island. What was most disappointing was not that breakfast had ended. It was the lack of hospitality and problem-solving that followed. Staff members appeared willing to assist and explore solutions. We were even informed that arrangements were being explored. Ultimately, management declined to accommodate any reasonable alternative. At that point, the issue was no longer food. It became a hospitality issue. Luxury hospitality is not defined by beautiful buildings, premium pricing, or marketing. It is defined by how guests are treated when something unexpected happens and whether a team is empowered to solve problems. The spa treatments themselves were good. However, the overall experience was so disappointing that we left the property immediately after our massages and did not use the beach day passes, beach chairs, umbrella, beach service, or other amenities we had purchased. To their credit, after several emails and escalation to management, Zemi agreed to refund our unused beach day passes. However, the broader concern was never fully addressed. The most disappointing part is that this situation felt entirely avoidable. A small amount of flexibility and hospitality could have completely changed the outcome of the day. Instead of leaving feeling celebrated and cared for, we left feeling disappointed and unwelcome. For travelers considering Zemi for a special occasion, I would encourage you to carefully clarify what food and dining options are available to day-pass guests and understand that service recovery may not align with the luxury standards the property promotes. Unfortunately, this was not the experience we expected from a luxury resort.
Priceless!!!!
10.0This place is something that really cant be put into words other than its a MUST VISIT!!!!!! My husband and I came here last year for a quick visit and was so impressed with the resort amenities as well as hands down the best service. What was impressive, was their entire team was on the same page with wanting to make sure your experience is great and sometimes this can be a challenge when traveling to different places. We were so impressed that we came back this year and celebrated our 30th Anniversary by renewing our vows with people who made us feel like we were family and most importantly that they have a vested interested in making sure all of your visits will be memorable. Yes there are some beautiful and great resorts in Anguilla so I don't want to take anything away from those resorts but what I believe sets Zemi apart from those options is their people. You can definitely tell that their management teams also have a vested interest in making sure their employees are happy where they work. It doesn't matter where you are in the world if you are unhappy with your employment it will eventually show up. I wanted to take this opportunity at this time to say thank you to all the people that contributed to this being a memorable and magical moment in our life. 1. Charissa- Event Coordinator (Amazing!!!!) 2. Paulo- General Manager 3. Garmon- Food & Beverage Manager 4.Raquel- Rooms Manager 5. Neller- Welcome Manager 6. Nakia- Front Desk (Awesome Hospitality) 7. Charisma- Front Desk (Beautiful Smile) 8. Nakia- (Front Desk Thanks for your Welcome) 9. Vernesha- ( Thanks for your tour) 10. Lubna- Outlets Manager 12. Stacey- Waitress with amazing service and her memory is OUTSTANDING!!! 13. Patrick - Pool Attendant This resort also has great chefs which helps to contribute to the excellent food experience. Last year I did experience the spa and is was another area for peace and relaxation. I will be back to Anguilla every year and will always make this a stop. Thank you so much for what you do for so many. Many blessings back at you.
A must try resort, you will want to come back!
10.0What a fantastic hotel! The location is perfect, located in the Shoal Bay area, right on the beach. The beach is about 1 mile long and perfect for a morning walk. The water is crystal clear. The hotel itself is clean, incredibly comfortable and inviting. Bohio: (lobby bar and sushi restaurant) is casual and has great drinks and food. The sushi was great. I typically do not like sushi, but I absolutely loved every roll we had. The drinks are top notch. Hector (bartender and beach attendant) was wonderful. You must try his Bergamont Sour! So good. Hector was friendly and so helpful. 20 Knots: breakfast, lunch, or dinner... You can't go wrong. Breakfast was a delicious buffet with more choices than you could eat. Fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, multiple sausages, yogurt, meats, cheeses, multiple pastries, an egg station, and I am sure I forgot something. Lunch- everything we had was wonderful, especially the salads and tacos! There were so many wonderful people at 20 Knots: Tiffany- so kind and sweet! Yennifer- always friendly and helpful. Shameika was a fantastic waitress, always ready with something we wanted, before we knew we wanted it. Stacey and Tracy we encountered at 20 Knots and Bohio. Both were amazing, funny, helpful and professional. We can not say enough about how great the staff is at this resort. While the resort and its location are why you choose this place, the people are the reason you will want to go back. We did not take pictures of the resort itself, but got many of the beach.
Please note: The resort has seasonally closed and will reopen on October 16, 2025.
