Great nature and relaxing
10.0I liked the view, the nature at the property, and helpful and friendly staff. Totally recommend for being close to nature relax and enjoy. Thank you ♥️
A hidden gem in the jungle
10.0I am so grateful I got to experience a few days of total relaxation and sustainable off-grid living at this slice of paradise. This location really stood out to me for its inclusive, more family-friendly vibe and great value for private accomodation. Highly reccommend the cabins with attached bathroom and covered lanai. I personally enjoy falling asleep to the sound of coqui frogs instead of city traffic and don't mind the open air environment with no AC, but totally understand these may not be everyone's cup of tea. However, if you want to really live like a local, here are some of the highlights: - Sampling the seasonal diversity of organic fruits growing right outside the cabin, including some I've never seen before -Great area reccommendations, including multiple farmers markets nearby -Got to take a lesson on coconut palm weaving with materials gathered on-site -Private meditation hall, a little library, and plenty of yoga props for unwinding in the evening While I came on vacation, I look forward to attending on a more formal retreat in the future as I love the flexibility offered. You can go all-inclusive (with advanced notice), or choose your own adventure. Meals are wholesome and filling. The caretakers are working continously on improving the guest experience and helping this center reach its maximum potential. They were incredibly kind, accomodating, and easy to communicate with. It was certainly worth going off the beaten path to make it up here; viewing the starry sky through the forest without light pollution and being among the first at the beach park to watch the morning sunrise are pricless...
− Some areas are under repair at the moment, so double check if you are wanting something specific like a space to prepare your own meals

10.0Here’s a polished version of your review you can post: I stayed at the Kirpal Meditation and Ecological Center during my trip to the Big Island in Hawaii, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. Clint and his family were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. My room was very nice, comfortable, and peaceful. The whole place is surrounded by beautiful nature, with trees and fruit all around, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. It was my first time staying in a place like this, and I will never forget the experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for peace, nature, and genuine hospitality.
Great value and pleasantly remote
8.0Loved the remoteness of the location. Spending the night in a rural Hawaiian location was a treat. The new owners are lovely and are on the brink of a major renovation. So if you’re ok with that, and are looking for serious solitude, consider this place to stay. I enjoyed the feeling of being back at sleepaway camp. The drive to get to the property is beautiful and adventurous, down a couple of winding roads past farms with views of the coast and part of it goes through a lava field. Just down the road are natural hot springs that feel like you’re in a hot tub, yet you’re at the beach. Those were unexpected and made my stay. I hope to return after the renovation to see what the owners have done with the property. Given the other lodging choices proximal to Volcanoes National Park, this place was a good value likely because it didn’t have the luxury several of those places advertise. It’s about an hour 15 minute drive to the park from the property.
