Short stay completely off grid.
8.0Breakfast was fine. Bacon and eggs supplied. Lots of cereal choices. The scenic view was nice. The owner met us and was very friendly and had fire ready to start in the accommodation which was a nice touch. There was no issue with us having a dog with us, this was primary reason for booking this place as lots dont allow pets. A highlight was the shower/hotwater - excellent.
− The surrounding grounds of the accommodation was very minimally upkept. The mobile phone reception was terrible. There was no TV or internet. The location was very isolated and it did not have a prestige winery feel that was expected. It was all a bit tired and run down.
Nice area. Stay would be improved if cottage was thoroughly cleaned and maintained. Host were pleasant and friendly.
8.0It’s seclusion
− The kitchen in particular could do with a thorough clean. There is mice droppings around where the microwave sits and dead flies and bugs on top of cupboards in kitchen. Made us hesitant to use the facilities without cleaning all surfaces and utensils first.
Relaxing but the quarters were not clean and a bit rustic for the price.
3.0Nice location and wine. Relaxing views.
− Not clean. Plus "breakfast provided" was 5 raw eggs and a package of bacon, some cereal packages and milk in the refrigerator for two days.
Good Wine & Great Views
10.0The view from the cottage was amazing. Loved the old & rustic charm of the cottage. Kitchen was well-equipped with complimentary breakfast supplies. Fully fenced yard for our pup to run free. Cozy and comfortable bed. Hosts were gracious to let us taste some wine at the Cellar Door and we took a couple of bottles home as the wines were so good.

8.0We went for a getaway focused on 2 things 1. Place for our dog 2. Place ti set up telescope at night Worked brilliantly on both counts
− Accomodation had all facilities, and was cleaned well at surface level. However, there were many cobwebs in the ceiling. I understand its difficult to manage cobwebs on the outside, but inside along the ceiling can be done. That said, everything else was exactly what we were lookinh fir. And will recommend for sure
Just gorgeous and can’t wait to stay again.
