Everything fine, until my room stunk like sewer gas the 2nd nights stay due to guests in room above
3.0Room was OK, clean, dust free, bed was comfortable. Air conditioner was a little bit noisy, but adequate.
− I was in room 115 downstairs when on the 2nd night of my stay, the room above me was rented out. The people upstairs showed up around 11 pm, waking me up walking around. They then proceeded to use the toilet, taking a #2, and then took a 25 minute shower. About 1/2 way through the shower, my room had developed the smell of sewer gas. I thought it strange but went back to sleep. Around 4 AM, the people upstairs, again used the toilet and then took another shower, and again my room smelled of sewer gas. I got up to use the bathroom myself and while in the bathroom, I noticed that fecal matter, water and dissolved toilet paper, along with a puddle of effluent sewer water had backed up in the shower pan in my bathroom. This was the cause of the terrible smell in my room. I have notified the manager that the sewer line needs to be snaked out and cleared, they have a clogged up sewer line. They said they tested it and couldn't duplicate the problem I experienced. I wish I would have taken my smartphone and taken pictures of the situation at 4 am in the morning to prove to them what happened. No refund or future credit was offered. I feel this is a health hazard, who wants to step into the shower half awake in the morning into a shower that has someone elses poop and pee dried on the surface? It's a health hazard and how Covid would be easily spread, since Covid is evacuated from your body via your elimination of feces.
