Spectacular food, location, onsens. Do not miss!!!
10.0We just spent five weeks in Japan and are still talking about the food we ate here. It is nothing short of spectacular. We paid quadruple at other ryokans and this one had the best food, best location and the best onsens. It’s an older place with older, big onsens and for us that was the charm of it. The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind. We went skiing one day and snowshoeing the next and ended up seeing a red fox each day. Really can’t recommend this place enough as it’s such a great deal and again, the food....wow. Posted the menus so you can see why we freaked out.

8.0Hotel and onsen are both a bit worn out and would need a refreshment, however everyone at the hotel is super nice and dinner and breakfast were good. Just don't expect too much regardless the high prices, overall price performance is not very good.

10.0Very friendly and attentive staff. Amazing Japanese cuisine.

8.0Found this property on hitou.or.jp. Japanese Association of secluded hot spring inns. Wanted an outdoor hot spring experience but was let down by the temperature of Onsen and the scenery. Nevertheless, the food was AMAZING. Stay here if u would like some quiet time away from crowded touristy areas. :)
Children 5 years old and younger stay free when occupying the parent or guardian's room, using existing bedding.
