Quiet and Chelsea when she showed up for work the following day. Chelsea was very attentive from the moment I met her.

− No one was on call when issues arose or to ask questions. I addressed the bedet not working with Jaycee, never got a response from her or Sandra the innkeeper. I reached out to the host the day before I checked in and about 6:40 the day I arrived and didn’t get a response until almost four in the morning. Soap selections could have been bigger for the price of the stay(mini soaps and lotions which is fine if I could’ve gotten more)I opened one of the lotions and it was like water pouring out as soon as I opened it. It was freezing cold in the room, no way to have it turned down. The thermostat wasn’t visible to adjust. When I spend $300 for a night I expect everything to be able to have questions answered in a reasonable manner.

− The property itself was beautiful, but it was more of a wedding venue. We went to sit in the back to enjoy the gardens but it was full of tables and chairs, taking the romance and intimacy out of our getaway. The breakfast was also underwhelming for a bed and breakfast. We had cold waffles, yogurt and berries. Same as we got the day before in our half price hotel that included breakfast.

The rooms are decorated really nice. Comfortable beds. Luxurious.

− This is a wedding location, with some rooms rented as B&B. Overall the atmosphere and decoration is that of a wedding venue. On our first night the had let the music in the central hall playing rather loud - we could hear it in our rooms even. Also shampoo etc was missing in the rooms - the next morning that was all immediatly fixed when we reported it. It is also a bit further from Lafayette 25 min ride to downtown) than I had expected.

We had to leave early so we missed out on breakfast. It was ok for one night.

Not a True Bed & Breakfast—This Is a Wedding Venue First and Foremost We booked this place expecting a romantic bed and breakfast, but it’s clearly now a full-time wedding venue that happens to rent rooms. The entire property was staged for a wedding—including a fake wedding cake—making it feel awkward, not cozy. Their website lists amenities that either don’t exist or are no longer maintained. There’s no pool anymore (it’s been filled in), but old reviews and photos still suggest otherwise. The advertised “Southern Sipping Hour” never happened. The patio grill was dirty and unusable, the TV didn’t work, and there were no plates as mentioned on the site. Promised pastries at check-in? Also missing. We texted the innkeeper with our concerns and got no reply. When we saw a man walk by (who never introduced himself), we found out he was the owner. He offered excuses but no solutions, and refused any refund—even though we hadn’t brought in our bags yet. This might be a great wedding venue, but it’s misleading to promote it as a traditional B&B. It felt like we were house-sitting a wedding setup, not enjoying a relaxing getaway. We’re easygoing travelers, but the lack of transparency and poor communication made this a disappointing experience. Future guests deserve to know what they’re actually booking.
