Good location, fair price
8.0The hotel is a bit ran down but the location is quite central. A bit far from the train stations, but, then again, everything is! Hotel is close to the river and a lovely walk along it. Up the mountain there is a nice pagoda and temple complex.
Pleasant Hotel
8.0We stayed in this hotel 4 nights. Great location, short distance from the Yellow River and other attractions. The hotel staffs are friendly. We didn't have any language problems.
Fine Stay/Knowledge of Chinese Helpful
8.0Although it has a French name, this is really a Chinese hotel. No one speaks fluent English; just rudimentary. Tasty Chinese breakfast. Located off a pedestrian street. Lots of restaurants. Taxi driver couldn't find it, even with GPS.
Right in the middle of the shopping district
10.0This hotel was very comfortable. It came with a water boiler, two bottles of water, and slippers, in addition to the usual stuff that comes with the hotel. The hotel is right in the middle of a long shopping street, so there are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby, and it's within walking distance of Zhongshan Bridge and some other sites. The room was very clean and the staff was very quick to answer my requests and inquiries. I spoke to them in Chinese, so I can't comment on their English ability, but because the hotel is a French company and because I saw other foreigners I imagine their English is quite good.
