Lovely pub, lovely staff and delicious food. Disappointing accommodation in room 4.
6.0The location and staff were very nice indeed. Lovely bar/dining area and outside space looked great. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice on the menu
− Our room (room 4) was VERY small and hot-nothing like those featured in the photos on their website. Only room for the bed. A lamp was positioned on a chair as no room for bedside table. The sink in the bathroom was practically unusable as there was a glass shelf directly above it which blocked your use of it. I think we got the smallest room at the property. Friends who also stayed there had a lovely room and were very happy so I think we were just unlucky and disappointed.

A very interesting place with good outside space. Obviously very popular destination. Room was nice and spacious and the
6.0Very interesting decor. All the old advertising signs in the pub were a nice touch. All areas very clean. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We had an issue with the blind in our bathroom and the curtains coming off the track. Mentioned them to James and it was all sorted.
− A busy pub with evening events which could be noisy. But I suppose that is a sign of a thriving business. Which is a plus. Not very impressed with the breakfasts. I ordered waffles with berries and got one dry, lukewarm waffle with some compote that was excessively sweet. Cooked breakfasts were better but served with sourdough toast which was thinly cut and rather too crisp for our liking. No other bread option was available.
What a great place for a country side escapade!
10.0Very clean, the bedroom was splendid!! The breakfast was also extremely phenomenal and they were good at making adjustments for my intolerances (gluten and dairy free). Also want to mention the decorations, both in the pub and in the bedroom.
