Wonderful place to see wild animals
10.0We really enjoyed all of our time at Kapama Southern Camp. We saw so many animals up close. It was great accommodations as well as safaris.
Unforgettable experience
10.0Alec and Matt made our stay at Kapama truly unforgettable! They were, without a doubt, the best guide and tracker team we had during our entire Africa trip. Thanks to their incredible skill, we were fortunate enough to see all of the Big Five, including an amazing three different leopards! Watching Alec and Matt successfully track down the third leopard by following the impalas’ alarm calls was one of the most impressive wildlife experiences we’ve ever had. Their tracking abilities were absolutely remarkable. We also loved the night drives and were amazed at how many animals they were able to find. Alec was exceptional at explaining animal behavior, identifying tracks, and stopping for interesting sightings along the way. He struck the perfect balance between making sure we experienced as much wildlife as possible while never making us feel rushed. My son, who loves wildlife photography, especially appreciated having plenty of time to capture great photos. Beyond the game drives, Alec went above and beyond by taking us to the gym and arranging for a massage, and we thoroughly enjoyed the bush walk he guided. His knowledge, professionalism, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for the bush made every activity enjoyable and memorable. If you’re visiting Kapama, I can’t recommend Alec and Matt highly enough. They truly made our experience extraordinary, and we will always remember the incredible wildlife encounters and memories they helped create. The property is beautiful with lots of wildlife roaming the grounds and the food was great as well!
Trip of a lifetime! If you have hesitations, put them behind you and book this vacation.
10.0What an amazing experience. Everything was excellent, from the food and accommodations to the staff and the service. We would not change a thing. We cannot give enough praise to our guide Richard and out spotter Dee. What wonderful people to spend an adventure with. Thank you so much for making this a trip of a lifetime.
A Nice Villa for Safari Holiday
10.0One of the nicest Villa for safari camp. The villa served great food and drinks. For safari, yes. we manage to see the big 5 in the camp. Cleanliness is good. The Atmosphere was good and relaxing. The safari staffs are very welcoming and we had a great stay in the camp. I can see the team trying their best to chase for the animals, it's indeed exciting for the chase. The team works well to ensure we get to see the big 5. We did a foot massage at the kapama river lodge, as the weather is hot, there's elephants on the river. Location is near to Kruger National Park too. Suggest to book another Kruger national park safari if you have time for more exploration for the different animals like cheetahs and others.
Everything we hoped it would be and more!
10.0One of the most amazing experiences we have ever had. It’s expensive but you get what you pay for. It’s a private reserve so you are pretty much guaranteed to see the big 5 as we did, and close up as well. To be a few feet from a lion and a herd of elephants felt a real privilege. The guides are knowledgeable and the trackers know there stuff and where to go.whilst on the staff, service was first class, from the restaurants to the rooms, and the people are just simply lovely, genuinely happy to help, nothing was too much trouble. Food was also top notch, cooked fresh and lots to choose from. One word of advice, take a few layers for the early morning safaris, it’s pretty cold and also gets cold once the sun goes down, but during the day it heats up nicely. It was everything we hoped it would be and more, made special by the people.
