We barely rested and it was stressful to be there.

How close things were.

− Everything. AC didn’t cool, rooms were tiny, they only gave us one towel for my husband and I. Water pressure was terrible and dealing with the staff was an issue. The other lady was nice, but having to ask for EVERYTHING was such an issue. The power went out for 2 hours and a hotel should have backup generators for their customers. As a family we’re not coming back here. Should keep the maintenance in that place.

Estaba muy céntrico el hotel ,el personal muy amable

− La habitación estaba muy pequeña era ruidoso todo se escuchaba y el baño era muy pequeñito era incomodo,el desayuno y el café no era muy bueno

Not a good choice in Copán Ruinas. Unwelcoming and uncomfortable.

Some of the staff were friendly and helpful (unfortunately not all), and it is a good location central to everything and easy to find. The breakfast, although very limited in selection, was prepared well and quite good. The kitchen staff were very nice.

− For starters, the hospitality is awful. Upon arrival you are immediately faced with a list of rules and regulation and a greeting that is more like an inquisition and explanation of the rules of the prison. Upon reaching the shabby rooms the guest is confronted with even more rules plastered on the walls of the room, the back of the door, and the bathroom. Pretty much everything is expressly forbidden and there are threats of fines for everything from dirty towels to using excessive water in the bathroom. The rooms are shabby and in much need of updating. The mattresses on the beds are rock hard. The floor seems softer. And the bathrooms, despite all the rules, are cramped and dirty. There is hot water. But only if you know that you have to open a valve on the water pipe in the shower. Of course, the inquisitor at the “welcome” desk never mentioned that. It is up to guests to figure it out. This may seem odd, but the toilet paper is horrible. It is rice paper thin and in a huge roll above your head when you are in the bathroom. But good luck using it without it breaking apart. Disgusting. And while the garden area and pool area inside the hotel are nice, pretty much everything tourists and guests want to do in pool areas and gardens in hotel while on vacation is forbidden on the rules list by this hotel. I made my first trip to Copán Ruinas 36 years ago and have been back dozens of times. I’ve stayed in probably half of the properties in town. So trust me when I say say that not only are there better options in Copán Ruinas, I actually can’t think of a worse option. We would not stay here again.
