10.0We treated ourselves to the four poster bedroom which we stayed in the night before our daughter’s wedding. It wasn’t cheap but was a really beautiful large room with lovely decor. Staff were great! We had a family meal there for 26 of us, pre ordered food and it all came out on time and was delicious. My husband dropped his wedding tie in the forecourt after we checked out, which was picked up and driven to Falcon Manor for us! So kind, thanks for everything, we look forward to returning soon.

6.0The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The Bath House toiletries provided were lovely. The Golden Lion is well-placed in the centre of town so it is easy to get onto excellent walks. Lots of cafés and interesting shops nearby.
− The older part of the hotel is probably fine but the newer part, behind the courtyard, is trickier. The room was small and unbearably hot in spite of keeping the blinds closed durung the day. The view was of rather dirty pipes and keeping windows open in the evening meant a lot of noise from the courtyard and kitchen extractor fans.

9.0Fantastic central location in Settle, really friendly staff and brilliant breakfast and meals.
− There isn’t parking at the hotel however there is car parking only a few minutes away and we were able to drop off and pick up our luggage as the hotel has a small drop off point at the front of the hotel under the arch way.
