I want my R700 refunded that the owner charged us
1.0− We booked the comfort apartment at Jenny’s guesthouse which is one room with a double bed and 1 room with 2 single beds - the booking was for 2 people - 2 men for the price of R1300. On arrival they gave us one room with a double bed (not in the apartment) and said if we want the 2 bedroom apArtment we have to pay an additional R700. The booking.com website advertises the apartment as a unit and the owner said that we only booked 1 room (of the apartment??) and that we are welcome to cancel the booking and look for other accommodation (at 18;00) after paying R1300 through booking.com and then another R700 at the property. I expect a refund of R700 from Booking.com as this owner said that this is a mistake from Booking.com. The owner was extremely rude and unhelpful. We stayed at this property in the apartment in 2023 and was very happy and that is why we booked here again. Never again, very disappointed and I want my R700 back that the owner charged us extra. I could have booked elsewhere at a cheaper cost . Very bad service and false advertising. Booked an apartment and got a room with a double bed - they expected 2 men to share the double bed. Booking.com shows the apartment as a unit, not a room.

Host very attentive. Great use of space. All amenities worked well. Lovely garden. Felt secure.

− Bar fridge and bathroom fan were a bit noisy, but that is to be expected and really not disruptive.

8.0Good location There was a plumbing issue in the bathroom but the host saw to it promptly and it was sorted out.
− Room could do with a bit of a tidy up i.e.: loose cables and tv hung skew.
Fine. Nothing spectacular. Mediocre breakfast. But fine.
