10.0Extremely friendly staff who patiently took their time to recommend places of interest, giving us valuable tips from locals. The beautiful listed hotel had a positive and calm atmosphere, making us feel very much at home, in an old worldly sort of way. The breakfasts were generous and delicious: quality products. There is also room for parking. Thank you to Hazel and her kind, welcoming team.

8.0Excellent location. Room and bathroom very spacious and very comfortable bed. Staff very helpful, informative and friendly. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Excellent evening meal on night restaurant open.
− It was a shame restaurant not open more in evening as Hazel excellent chef. Decor rather dated in bedroom and some of other rooms.

8.0Location is good very close to castle and boat trips. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good choice at breakfast
− Not good to have water dripping through the ceiling when you are eating breakfast. We chose this hotel as it had parking but spaces were small and very tight, couldn't have managed with a bigger car.
Traditional, welcoming hotel in an excellent location.
10.0A lovely, traditional hotel. Very good location, with a car park to the rear. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a two night stay. Breakfast was table service, which we prefer. Food was freshly cooked and delicious-the sausages and bacon were really tasty. We would definitely recommend.
