Pleasant stay in idyllic countryside location
8.0My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the Meinsbur Hotel in July while attending an event locally. The hotel has a heritage feel with thatched roof buildings steeped in history. The countryside location was very peaceful, it was so calming to hear only crickets in the night and to wake to the sound of birdsong. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The room was spacious, secure and comfortable, with a view of the fields. The hotel is a short walk from a supermarket and the village which includes a historical trail.
− The bathroom was not spotless when we checked in and there were a few things not working, including my bedside light. We asked for help booking a taxi and we were informed that staff cannot help guests with this.
