8.0I'd have to admit I liked everything about pelican Beach except for the Sandy Beach which you are unable to get close to it all because they're umbrellas and chairs which you were forced to rent if you wanted to get anywhere close to the water. I found myself going to public beaches just so I could be anywhere close to the water in my own chairs

4.0The mattress was the worst mattress I have ever slept on in my life, I would have gotten more sleep on the beach. The next day we had to purchase a $175 mattress topper to be able to sleep. We even tried sleeping on the bunk beds which were horrible as well. The view from the balcony was beautiful. They also need to put black out curtains in the bedroom it is so bright in there it look like runway lights shinning in you face. The tv was not working in the bedroom, there was parts of the ceiling peeling off. The unit needs an update. I highly recommend the owner sleep a night in the unit. The front desk was not helpful just told us we need to get ahold of the people we rented from. We have been to Destin regularly over the last 10 years and this was by far the worse hotel stay aside from the view.

4.0This property has a great location. Our room was very close to beach access. There is convenient shops and restaurants nearby.
