Food was absolutely fabulous. We had the unbelievable chance to have one of the last meals at the restaurant. On Saturday night ,at 1 in the morning ,we were awaken to the fire department fighting a fire which was taking the Lodge. Very sad to see a pillar of the community slowly be consumed by a tragedy. let's hope they can rebuild. Very sad. Please support the local fire department.

− We didnt like the sewer smell. They knew about it and the fact they didnt tell us.we couldn't even sit outside because of it

Lake right across the road close to Bon Echo reasonably priced . staff friendly. Cloyne not to far if supplies needed. If you want simple rustic cottage , no frills there are 2 or 3 cottages that are basic . Have utencils stove, microwave ,toaster etc. Just bring your food and linens. The more "pretty" cottages are on the waterfront. Loons calling . There is a restaurant . You can get icecream in the front shop . Didn't try the restaurant this time .

− Bathroom door wouldn't shut properly, no curtain on bathroom window. Comfort station disappointing,needs refurbing... not much privacy if you are showering, and someone comes in to use the toilet. Weird layout . Floor needs a thorough scrubbing . Showerhead was cracked so squirting out in the wrong direction

Blaine ( wears many hats) bartender, server all the above Does his best especially, due to shortage of staff , Cony ,Blaine were so friendly , welcoming. Beautiful spot .... I went there to get some solitude to unwind ,clear the mind...did me good. . Breakfast was good. large helping good value for the money. Marble lake is stunning. Beach in front can rent paddle boats, paddleboard fishingboat . Docking facilities, small shop with necessities, and icecream .. Rustic Cabin was simple which I liked. It had the necessities ,coffee maker toaster utensils. Microwave pots pans kettle.T.V and dvd player . I had the basic cabin if you pay more, ofcourse you get a larger one on the water, sleeps more and a bit " prettier." One can borrow DVDs at the restaurant. Need to bring linen for beds. One can have campfire .You can purchase wood there. Bon Echo is only 10 mins away. .... They have live music on Sat. Evenings. Another reason why it was so busy that night.... Nice touch.

− I would have given a 71/2 but there isn't..... Please, retire fridge in cabin #2 noisy , moldy and rusty ...only good for fishing bait. On Sat. Eve I had take out..waited quite awhile ( Blaine was doing everything, trying his best ,not his fault) short staffing is everywhere, can't get help.. The cook also... There was a sign up asking people to be patient..... I had small house salad ,sorry $7 .25 was expensive, for wilted lettuce ,2 pieces of cucumber, and 3 small tom thumb tomatoes.... The restaurant was understaffed ,and extremely busy so , It ( salad) was probably thrown together.... Being, as it was a nice weekend, and end of Season ,alot of cottagers, fishermen etc. Were making the most of the weekend, so road was busy ... noisy, but it died off after 10.. or so.
