Highlight of our 2 week Morocco trip!

The staff were genuinely kind and helpful in so many ways. From helping plan and provide amazing guide for a 2 day trek to helping with rug shopping. We had an amazing dinner at the lodge one night, and enjoyed daily breakfast and plenty of tea! The hospitality was lovely.

Authentic Stay

Absolutely marvelous! Roaz de Bandeira was clean, relaxing, and peaceful — never crowded or overly touristy. Rather than feeling like a hotel, it felt like a true oasis where we could unwind in the mornings and evenings. Luis and Claudia were incredibly kind and helpful, guiding us away from tourist traps and sharing hidden gems throughout the area. The courtyard was dreamy, filled with blooming plants, trees, gazebos, and fairy lights that created such a beautiful atmosphere. Everything was impeccably clean, and the breakfast was thoughtfully and beautifully prepared. Claudia took exceptional care with my diabetes and celiac needs. Although I offered to provide my own breakfast, she went out of her way to make sure I felt included and could enjoy a hearty meal alongside everyone else. That kindness meant so much to me. One of our favorite parts of our stay was enjoying breakfast between 9 and 10 with the other guests and connecting with fellow travelers. Luis and Claudia are genuinely warm and caring people, and I truly hope to return on future trips to the area. Thank you so much, Claudia and Luis! 🤗❤️

Vue magnifique. personnel super sympa et accueillant. Le dîner est proposé à 120 dirham; la nourriture est excellente. Localisé proche des sentiers de randonnée.

− Petite precision: la maison est située sur une colline, il faut laisser la voiture sur un parking en bas. Il faut donc un peu grimper pour arriver jusqu'à l hébergement. Ils s occupent de monter et descendre nos valises.

A great stay!

Outstanding hospitality, breathtaking views

Our overnight stay here was the highlight of our trip to Morocco! It’s truly a unique and beautiful experience. The location and views by themselves are breathtaking but Lahcen and his family go above and beyond with their kindness and generous hospitality to make everything about the stay one you’ll never forget. All the food was exceptional, and it was no problem us both being vegan. We had a very fun cooking lesson with the family in the evening, including being surprised with a couple of beautiful traditional Berber outfits. The next morning, after a breakfast watching the sunrise we were given directions for a pretty walk through the village and orchards to the waterfall before being met back in Imlil with our luggage for the taxi back. If you want an amazing trip to Morocco then staying at the Authentic Toubkal Lodge is a must. There are also a couple of very cute cats! Thank you especially to Abdul for everything :) tanmirt!

The stay at Lachens was sort of like a dream. The view from the balcony overlooking the mountains is so pretty. We are city folks so for us it was a couple of days to be able to dis connect and be in tune with the nature. Imlil is a serious trekking town but we are not hard core trekkers. So lachen arranged a guide with a mule to take us around the villages and surroundings which became the high light of our trip! We would have never done that much walking on our own but the guide even though didn’t know English was the most kindest knowledgeable guide who knew the terrain like the back of his hand. We felt safe and secure the whole time. Lachen can also arrange many tours if you want. He also arranged the taxi to and fro from Marrakesh at eve reasonable cost which was nice. The prepared dinner and breakfast also was delicious. The trek towards his house is very hilly and steep but we both were fine but just keep in mind for folks with mobility issues. But if one is coming to spend at Imlil, staying at valley serves no purpose. Staying at places high up is how you can enjoy the beauty and Laches place is perfect for that. This is no 5 star comfort place but him and his family took care of us very well. We felt so special and very taken care of which many 5 star places in the same trip we stayed at, we never felt!
