4.0Room was just okay. Singly operated and we were the only visitors . Everything worked but it was nowhere near as good as our previous visit 5 or so years ago. We were the only guests in the property with about 8 rooms that we were aware of. Breakfast was moderate . This is ok for a cheap night sleep but would not recommend to friends .
Lovely stay
10.0We had a lovely stay, bed room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and the owner so helpful and kind. He’s been working on the hotel so it was a little tired and is still a work in process. But what has been done so far looks great. Short walk from the wonderful Rutland water, great for walks.

6.0Shocked that this place remains open. A desolate air about the whole place. One man keeps the place going and does his best and provides the cooked breakfast. No cereals available. Outside is unkempt and drab. No chef or restaurant facilities so had to drive to pub down the road. Rooms clean, but basic. Tv pixelates, cold tap not working properly. Bar not open on evening of arrival. Seems to be past its best, could be so much better. Not worth the money.

4.0Booked for two night's, arrived to be told kitchen was close due to issues, room was dark, bed uncomfortable, cold tap broken, and towels smelt odd, went out to get something to eat and got back to find pub shut up, admittedly I had been given key code but left in room as wasn't expecting pub to close on a Friday night, so no evening pint, left in empty pub all night, but were told someone would do us breakfast, which was basic, came back later in day to find kitchen still shut so no food again, we had decided to stop in a pub so no worries with food! Decided to leave then as one night was enough.

6.0It was ok but the Breakfast was not good, it was lukewarm the sausages was awful and the eggs were greasy Did not enjoy.

6.0The gentleman who greeted us was friendly and polite, our room was a good size and clean but quite basic and there were no toiletries provided as stated in the listing. There was supposed to be a bar, restaurant and coffee shop on site- non of these were open. Breakfast fast was ok but consisted of two options, take it or leave it, there was no fruit, cereal or juice just a basic English breakfast. Overall the place was ok for our one night stay but we wouldn’t return
