Perfect family stay in great location
9.0Our family stayed in two of the "apartments" - one one bed, one two bed. They are separate from the hotel. Each had bed and bathroom(s) with a very good kitchen and sitting area as well as a deck overlooking the fields and fells. The space in the two bed was exceptional. The rooms are very modern with classical touches. This is a great way for a family to stay together especially if you want to self cater. The location, just outside the National Park (which is a good point as it is much quieter), is perfect for exploring the north lakes, the Eden valley and the west side of the Pennines. Penrith is a great centre literally on your doorstep. Booths is a high quality supermarket with all you need and a lot of local produce and there is a farmshop just down the A6 in Plumpton for more local produce as well.The garden has great views over the northern lakes and Saddleback. The staff demonstrated typical warm Cumbrian hospitality and were very welcoming
− We did not stay in the main hotel so can't really comment on that. The bar was excellent.

It’s as good as it looks in the photos.
8.0A quiet location with good views to the distant fells. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped for a short break. The staff were great and I enjoyed a good breakfast. I would definitely be happy to stay again.
