10.0Truly incredible hotel in a historical building. Looking back, I believe this to be one of the truest 10/10 stays in my life. The room is beautiful and comfortable. The hot baths are beautiful (I was lucky enough to be able to experience both open air baths when it was raining… absolutely magical). All amenities are provided and thought of before you know you need them. However, what made this truly unforgettable was the japanese garden (one of the most beautiful I’ve seen thus far in Japan) and the staff who were always waiting with a smile, an umbrella and a polite bow. I pray I’ll be lucky enough to experience the magic of Yudaonsen and Matsudaya again in my lifetime.

O serviço é impecável e você sequer entra de sapato no saguão principal. O café da manhã é rico, mas no estilo japonês, com todo o tipo de prato que você não imaginaria experimentar.

The true essence of a ryokan stay- lovely staff, good food, amazing garden, great onsens and history.
