8.0Une nuit rapide. Très confortable
A one-off experience- but bring your own food.
6.0Our night at the Chateau had to be the single most memorable night of our trip. I loved it; my other half was a bit freaked by it all. The property is a long way from anywhere down a stone road. The wildlife is incredible (I’ve never heard an all-night frog chorus before and the deer roam freely through the meadows). It is basically a private house offering rooms and a basic breakfast- not a hotel… it’s very much like taking an Air BnB room. The owner is a character but speaks virtually no English- this isn’t for you if you’re not able to get by in French. The house is unique, and speaks of grandeur in the way that old piles do. It felt like spending the night in a National Trust Manor House before they’ve done it up. If you want a night in deepest Anjou where you’re left to yourself to explore a chateau and can sit drinking wine under a tree with a cat purring on your lap, this is worth a go. If you’ve got young kids, you can’t speak much French or have mobility issues (there’s a spiral staircase), stay somewhere else.

10.0Chambre d'hôte dans un château rénové. Le gérant est d'une sympathie rare, très gentil, à l'écoute et qui connaît parfaitement l'histoire du château et des alentours. Il n'hésite pas à vous renseigner sur les visites à faire aux alentours et à toujours une anecdote à raconter. Les chambres sont spacieuses, très propre, la literie est d'une grande qualité qui colle avec l'histoire de la suite. La salle de bain est fonctionnelle et très propre. J'ai été agréablement surpris par tant de services, de beauté des lieux et de sérieux du gérant. Je recommande vivement.
