9.0A wonderfully peaceful place. In the evening we sat in the garden looking out at the Wells Cathedral Spire in the distance and watching a woodpecker fly to and fro feeding its young in the tree under which we were sitting. No traffic noise at all, only the bleating of sheep in the distance. I felt like I was in a Jane Austen novel. The dining room and breakfast were excellent - white table coths and real napkins, and the food was first class. Friendly helpful hosts, and the feel of being in a real country house - no dreary and depressing 'modernizing' here. Highly recommended.

A very pleasant time!
9.0Excellent location and beautiful surroundings- an old style country manor! Staff were very attentive and breakfast was delicious. Particularly enjoyed swimming in the outdoor pool!
