10.0Booked as a last minute getaway. Beautiful building with a fantastic view. Inside is tastefully decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere. Great outdoor seating area to enjoy a drink. Staff are very accommodating- allowing us to dine earlier and sit wherever we pleased. The food was delicious. Rooms are cosy and comfortable. Parking is free.

Great welcoming place to stay
9.0It was very relaxed and laid back, very homely. I was on my own with my dog and was able to take her to all parts of the hotel which made things very easy. There was a dog bath and towels provided. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The whole place was just really chilled. It was a half hour walk to Bassenthwaite lake and about 10 mins drive into Keswick centre. The food at breakfast and dinner was exceptional.
− Nothing really. The only thing was I was in a single room and it was very small with no view really. Being on my own I would have liked a few, I didn’t try to book a double but maybe it was full. I would definitely book a double room next time.

− The only downside is the parking. There are not enough spaces during high season and dining guests visiting. Nailed on 10 out of 10 if the parking was better.
