Great hotel with lovely staff

As a regular here my family and I generally have a great time at the Pullman. The staff are usually very accomodating and make us feel welcome. The rooms are very spacious and beds very comfortable. Love the pool area.

− This visit we were not informed of a private event, which closed the pool for the afternoon which was disappointing. However the staff did make up for it with a complimentary breakfast. Also I was disappointed that the female steam room was not working as the pool and the steam/sauna facilities are a highlight of my stay at the Pullman.

Pullman Waterfront is strategically located. If you choose a sea-view room, you can enjoy spectacular views of both the sea and the Miri Waterfront riverfront. The hotel is also within walking distance of Miri Times Square, where you can easily find a wide variety of restaurants and local delicacies. In addition, it is close to several famous seafood restaurants, allowing you to experience Miri's renowned local cuisine. It is also conveniently located near one of the city's largest shopping malls, Bintang Megamall.

− I believe the staff at Pullman should improve their hospitality and room management. During my 4-day, 3-night stay, I had to change rooms twice, which was quite disappointing. The first room change happened immediately after check-in. As I arrived late due to work commitments and a delayed flight to Miri, I was already exhausted. When I entered the room, it was unusually dark because several lights were not functioning, so I had to request another room. The second room change occurred because maintenance work was being carried out near my room, resulting in a strong paint odour. Since I was working from my room at the time, the smell became overwhelming and even made me feel dizzy. Eventually, I had no choice but to move to another room. Although the hotel sent a complimentary fruit platter as a gesture of apology, which I appreciated, having to pack and move twice during a short stay made the overall experience unpleasant. Another point worth mentioning is the gym. This is the first Pullman hotel I've stayed at that partners with a third-party fitness centre. On the positive side, the gym is spacious and very well equipped with a good range of machines. However, because it is open to external trainers and members, there were personal training sessions and fitness classes taking place during my visit. As a hotel guest hoping to relax and enjoy a quieter workout environment, I found this less than ideal. If having a peaceful hotel gym is important to you, this may be a disappointment.
