Stunning house in peaceful village
10.0The location was beautiful and the house and grounds were stunning, Lucy gave a tour and explained some of the interesting history of Prince Hill House. It was a very quiet and peaceful setting. Lucy was a great hostess
− We had a room that was self catered by way of a small kitchenette but could have done with a hot plate of sorts to heat a pan.

10.0Lucy was a lovely, caring host. She gave me a tour of the house and gardens much to my delight. I'm amazed that she and her husband do everything - cleaning, breakfasts, garden etc etc. She even stopped the traffic so I could drive into and out of the gate and loaned me a picnic chair to take to the wedding party I was attending as I'd forgotten mine. The bedroom was lovely; I felt very special lying in my four poster bed. Breakfast was so well presented - butter knives, jam spoons, elegant china in a beautiful dining room and exactly what I like to eat - croissant, toast, granola, yoghurt and different fruit options on the 2 days I stayed. I even had a full cafetiere of coffee rather than a single serving. 2 other guests shared the table with me and we had a lovely chat together (including Lucy) whilst being welcomed by her lovely friendly dogs. The house has lots of history and Lucy told me about how they had renovated it to the amazing standard it is now. All furniture and furnishings are lovely, high quality and I really felt I was staying in someone's house (which I was).
