Superb find
10.0Staff were a delight the entire stay. Room (1) was beautiful and clean, with windows on 3 sides (excellent for a breeze), lovely roll top bed, comfy mattress and very nice modern bathroom. Bathrobes were a nice touch. Ate at the hotel Saturday night and it was superb. Scotch egg was delicious, pork fabulous and the pizza was gorgeous. Excellent wine selection and utterly superb soft drink (bottles in the fridge) range. Breakfast was really good. Yoghurt, fruits and cereal, then cooked options. Not excessive, but more than enough to start the day. Superb quality all round, would recommend.

6.0Limited menu, i.e, we arrived at 2oclock, hoping to grab some lunch, but the hotel had finished serving, day and night menu the same, just wanted a few sandwiches!! There was no atmosphere here either, probably wouldn't stay again

Recommended base for local area attractions
10.0We used the hotel to visit the Roman Villa at The Newt and also the Fleet Air Arm Museum as both are with 15-20 mins drive from this excellent value hotel. Great breakfast and we also ate dinner at the hotel both nights. Very pleasant stay with good food, great service and attentive staff. Note, aircon in the room is a standalone unit which we didn't need to use. Comfortable bed and quiet location and the room had plenty of storage. Recommended. We would stay again.
