Our two-night stay at Indalu Game Reserve was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt that this was much more than a game reserve—it is a place built with passion, purpose, and deep respect for nature. Every detail of the property reflects care and authenticity. The accommodation is beautiful, comfortable, peaceful, and perfectly integrated into its natural surroundings. Waking up to the sounds of nature and spending time in such an environment was a privilege. Our heartfelt thanks go to Gerhard and his wife for creating such a remarkable place. Their dedication to protecting wildlife and preserving the environment is genuinely inspiring. What they are doing goes far beyond managing a beautiful reserve—it is a meaningful contribution to humanity and to future generations. Their love for nature is reflected in everything they do. To future guests, my advice is simple: listen carefully to the instructions and follow them. They are there to protect both you and the animals, and by respecting them, you will enjoy one of the most memorable experiences of your life. One of the absolute highlights was walking alongside the elephants and having the opportunity to feed them. It was an emotional, humbling, and truly magical experience that we will remember forever. Thank you, Gerhard and your wonderful team, for giving us memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. We sincerely hope to return again one day.

− A few helpful tips for future guests: The lodge is powered by solar energy, which is something I truly admired. I encourage all guests to use electricity responsibly—not because it is a limitation, but because it reflects the owners’ genuine commitment to sustainability and protecting the environment. In my opinion, this is a feature that makes the experience even more special. Also, it is important to keep the bedroom doors and the kitchen door closed, especially when they are not in use. This is simply part of staying in a true wildlife reserve and helps prevent reptiles or other small wildlife from entering the accommodation. Embracing these simple guidelines allows you to enjoy an authentic safari experience while respecting the beautiful natural environment that makes Indalu Game Reserve so unique.

​Great! This place is out of this world! So quiet, so peaceful, so magical! An amazing composition of nature, wildlife and hospitality. The elephant walk was unbelievable! These huge animals are so friendly and calming. The guide who drove us around, was knowledgeable and entertaining. The elephant keepers were experienced rangers. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Die Lage der Bungalows mitten im Nirgendwo war unbeschreiblich schön. Die Tiere kommen direkt an die Hütten. Wir waren ganz allein da, die Küche ist mit allem nötigen ausgestattet, Grill, Holzkohle und Feuerholz waren vorhanden, alles andere haben wir vorher in Riverdale eingekauft. Sehr komfortable Bungalows mit Gasheizung . Arina und Gerhard sind hervorragende Gastgeber. Unser Highlight war der Elefantwalk mit Bakari.

Die Unterkunft war wirklich etwas Besonderes. Sehr privat mit fantastischer Sicht auf verschiedene Tiere in der Nähe, direkt vor der Tür. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und einladend. Arina war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Tour mit Hanro hat viel Spaß gemacht. Gerne empfehlen wir den Aufenthalt weiter!
