The rooms were amazing - elegant, best bed ever, gorgeous views of the river and wildlife. The service was warm and genuine all around. Food was excellent. We particularly appreciated our butler Romeo who was outstanding - attentive, professional, warm. Loved being on our "private island".

My partner and I wanted to send a heartfelt thank you for the incredible job the staff at Victoria Falls River Lodge did to make our stay enjoyable and for organising a very memorable proposal. Aside from the absolutely beautiful and clean lodge itself, the food and location were perfect. We would also especially love to recognise Ashleigh, Hannah, Beks from the lodge, well as James the photographer. This was one of the most special and memorable parts of our trip, and we cannot thank them enough for everything they did behind the scenes to make the engagement so beyond extraordinary. Working closely with my partner, to help coordinate and deliver the most beautiful proposal imaginable. From the stunning set-up to the incredible private dinner and the unforgettable private sunset game drive, every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed. The care, enthusiasm, discretion, and genuine excitement they showed made the occasion feel incredibly personal and meaningful. What they created for us was far beyond anything we could have imagined, and it is a memory we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Thank you again for an unforgettable stay. We will be talking about this place for many years to come and will always look back on it with the fondest memories.

Gorgeous end to our 2 weeks in South Africa!!

Absolutely an amazing and beautiful Lodge on the shore of the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe. Amazing staff and great food and drinks. Did beautiful game drives and river tours also where we saw hippos, crocs and more. Elephants came to drink on the shores as we were passing, it was so amazing it almost seemed staged.

From airport pick up to the airport drop off, the team at the River Lodge were outstanding. We got a very pleasant surprise when the car dropped us at the dock and we were transported by boat to the Lodge. The rooms are spectacular here and you have to make an effort to get out and about they are so nice. Our guide Big M was a very knowledgable, flexible and personable guy. He showed us the Zambezi River on our river trips and sunset cruises and the Vitoria Falls. The lodge is amazing with animals passing through from elephants to hippos and crocodiles on the river edge. Dickson and Admire take good care of you in the restaurant which had an exelllent menu and of course a full bar. Thank you to all the team at the lodge from Patrick, Jess, James and Emma.

A Wonderful Stay at Victoria Fall River Lodge 10/10

From the moment we were met at the Zimbabwe airport the Victoria Falls customer service was outstanding! From our knowledgeable, friendly and ever attentive guide who took care of all our daily activities, to our main waiter Troy who was such a joy getting to know, to our house attendant Judith who made us feel like honeymooners ( we were celebrating our 30th anniversary) all over again, the staff did not once disappoint. The food was very good and there were many options available for those who were not fond of “game”. Every area of the Victoria Falls main lodge is decorated in such a warm and inviting way you could hang out there all day. But our tent was the real show stopper! We were in the family tent and it was gorgeous!! The amenities were overwhelming- two bathtubs, two sets of showers (one of each inside the tent, one of each on the outside deck) dressing area, living area, and beautiful bed dressed in gauze. And that didn’t account for the second room with its own bathroom, dressing area, bunk beds and another bed, enough for 3-4 kiddos. Our deck was large and had its own plunge pool and lounge chairs all overlooking to Zambezi river. We were sad to leave.

Amazing Lodge -gorgeous views-The staff was extremely friendly and personable. Our guide, Mike, was so knowledgeable, interesting, kind and fun! Rooms were comfortable, very clean, and well maintained. The river cruise was fabulous and the Game drive off the charts! We were so pleased with our entire experience. PS-Tour of the Falls-outstanding... do the helicopter!!! I highly recommend this Lodge.
