10.0The historic home and history. The staff and owners were very sweet and helpful. Location was great within the town so didn’t have to pay for parking. I got a discount by booking early.

Beautiful, comfortable inn, convenient to town.
10.0The Central House Inn was conveniently located near downtown Bar Harbor and provided parking. All we had to do was walk into town and to the harbor. The covered front porch with many chairs was lovely for relaxing or an al fresco meal. The bed was very comfortable and a refrigerator and area for food prep was provided for all guests allowing us to prepare some of our own meals which is nice when travelling for a while. The area was quiet and the Inn beautifully decorated.

Conveniently located, historic charm
7.0Great location, could walk everywhere and bike to Acadia, also lovely to have parking. Nice touches like cookies and coffee in the lobby. Wonderful to be able to use the front porch.
− Bed was too bouncy for us- any movement by one of us was felt by the other. We are just used to mattresses that mitigate that/ this one highlighted it. Also, there were some hooks, but no hangers, which was a bummer… no iron, either…so we were a wrinkly couple when we stayed.
