The only good thing about the Banana Moon was the pool.

− The stay was very disappointing. According to Google Maps, it is a hotel and the advertising to the street speaks of a "boutique hotel". The concierge service provided was a message on Booking.com saying which room to check into and that the key was in the lock of the door. It is not a hotel, as there is neither a manned reception nor room service. According to a notice at the bar, the towels are changed every three days. This did not even happen either. The notice is attached to this review as the pension's page on Booking.com does not list this information. We had to ask for waste disposal several times. The hand soap in the bathroom ran out and was only replenished over 24 h after a notice. The amenities list for the room also includes a coffee maker (not available), kettle (not available), fire extinguisher (not available), safe (not available), disinfectant (not available) and clothes rack (not available). There was a clothes rail in one wardrobe, but clothes hangers were not available. The kitchenette consists of a fridge and a sink with no cloth or washing-up liquid. The other equipment is extremely sparse. The owner lives in one of the rooms and likes to watch TV in the evening at a volume that we could hear TV over our baby monitor. The weakest part was the breakfast offered. The rolls and bread were equally a day older with each day of stay. Only on the last day were there fresh rolls, whereby we sat at the breakfast table at around 9 o'clock and the owner first had to make his way to the bakery. There is the cheapest cheese, salami and jam available. If something is not eaten, then it might be no longer available the following day. Dishes were partly dirty. Coffee could be brewed yourself at the semi-automatic machine behind the bar. The morning before last, the children had drunk all the milk, so we had to organise our own milk at the last breakfast. Note: Breakfast was on site and not at Paraplous, as stated in some other reviews.

Even though I stayed one night the experience was really good at the hotel . I had the chance to relax even with my laptop ! The staff in the hotel was really friendly and helpful and the internet also very good (as I needed that to work ) . The breakfast was simple but full with fresh bread and tasty fruits. The rooms really nice too. I slept well over there! The most precious though was the moment of the sunset from the pool ! This is capturing !

Even though I worked I felt like I was relaxing there !

The friendly staff , peaceful environment being able to work with my laptop and relax at the same time in the pool ! The rooms are very comfy and spacious ! The location amazing by the sea with super sunset ! And also close to the centre of Rethymno ! Convenient parking space also !
