1.0− Untreated wood, poorly maintained furniture. In general, everything has a dull wooden appearance, either without proper treatment or with treatment that was done a very long time ago. The sea was among the worst we have seen in the Maldives. The food was extremely mediocre to bad, especially for dishes costing 60 to 70 dollars each. The location is very far away, almost one hour by seaplane. The seaplane transfer costs 1,000 dollars. They do not accept cards such as Diners, and there are major issues with payments and bookings.

10.0Beyond the sheer beauty of the Maldives, what made staying at Soneva Jani forever memorable as a guest is the exceptional quality of service provided by their hosts and their genuine friendliness. This was my very first time in the Maldives and, without a doubt, I will be returning to Soneva Jani next time.
