10.0OMG! this hotel is a GEM! Everything is perfect , seriously exceeded my expectation 100%! The room! Oh my that room, the bed, the wooden floor, the HUGE bathroom with an amazing tube. This place has amazing corners to sit and chill, read or just amaze with nature. We had breakfast on a balcony overlooking Antiguas volcanoes! Seriously, it does not get any better than Posada de Los leones. Ah, by the way, it is located just a little bit away , letting you enjoy the silence and giving you the chance to walk every day a different path to get to know every edge of Antigua! I want to go back already!
Great Hotel but Listed in the Wrong Location
8.0I loved everything about the hotel but on Google Maps/Expedia the hotel is listed downtown by the plaza in Antigua but in reality it is located on the far end of town. Otherwise a great hotel, just a bit of a surprise how far from easy access to downtown it is. Hotel beautiful, quiet, well run etc.
Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff!
10.0The hotel is beautiful and peaceful with excellent views from the rooftop. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Gonzalo took us wherever we needed to go, and Freddy cooked an excellent breakfast, including a surprise on the rooftop the morning we left. He also made us sandwiches with water and apples for lunch (without us asking him to) when we left to hike Pacaya. If we ever get back to Antigua, this will be my first choice for a hotel.
Peaceful and personal touch
10.0This boutique hotel is well suited for those who enjoy privacy with the feeling of security. A short walk to the arch and a very friendly staff. Would repeat - breakfast on the terrace has an amazing view of 3 volcanoes for those new to Antigua.

Sad, Sad, Sad
4.0I hate writing bad reviews but since I rely on reviews to help me I felt this deserved an honest review. The place is relatively new and is in a beautiful gated community at the edge of town. I have stayed in Antigua many times and have a certain expectation of what a place in this price point should be. With the exception of the large room NOTHING was even close to right. Where a huge bouquet of flowers costs approximately 10$ at the local market there were none. I take that back. On the primary coffee table in the outdoor living room there were a dozen dead red roses. They stayed there for a further 3 days. Were not replaced during our stay. There was never a candle lit during our stay where they exist in even the cheapest hotels and restaurants. The sheets were poor quality and the towels were frayed and sometimes there were more holes than towels. There was a nice guy Freddy who did anything that was ever done. The magazines in the baskets were dated from 2002-2007, nothing newer. The bookshelves were covered with spiderwebs. The breakfast was sub par and half,of the planters were broken. I can't figure it out. It is as expensive as the nicest hotels in town and has the bones to be a 5 star hotel but it's like it's been abandoned and no one is trying to create an inviting atmosphere. I love Antigua so much and I would hate for someone to stay there and think it is in any way typical of most hotels. Whoever owns this place should be ashamed. So sad
