Great location in Southbank
6.0Location was great. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city but within walking distance to Flinders St Station for tram and train access. We love to walk, so it was the perfect location for us and we loved being able to walk along Southbank and the restaurants there. The reception staff were really lovely. I had initially requested a room on a higher level but when we checked in we were in Level 10. Not a great view of the roof next door (see first 5 photos). When I spoke with the reception staff, they were more than happy to move us after a room became available. We were moved to the 32nd floor which had a much nicer outlook (see photos).
− The apartment was quite small. We had expected more room in the living room to relax in but it was pretty tight. Also, even though there was a Foxtel set-top box, we could only watch the generic channels on the platform governed by the times set by the broadcaster. We would've loved to have chosen a movie of our choice to watch in the evening as we wound down after a full day of sightseeing. Overall the apartment was clean, however, I noticed some old toothpaste splashes on the wall of the bathroom under the light switch which wasn't from us. There was also some significant stains on the carpet that led from the door down the hall to the living room in the apartment on Level 32..
Difficult to get help from staff to use tv and heater.
2.0Location was great and the unit was lovely and very well equipped.
− The tv was extremely hard to operate and help was hard to find. The heater was on high and couldn’t turn it down. And then in a case of mistaken identity police were brought to my room !
Good value for the location, clean & warm. Easy checkin and staff were helpful.
