This is a beautiful place with stunning views, surrounded by wonderful nature. Everything has been thoughtfully designed to create comfort and appeal to all the senses. The beds were comfortable, although a little squeaky, everything was clean, and we were very happy with our choice. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, supportive and service-oriented. I cannot remember all their names, but I do remember Ama. You can rely on her to find and organise almost anything you need. Even if you arrive without a plan, she will have plenty of suggestions to help you make the most of your time. The gentlemen serving us were also always ready to help and were consistently warm and kind. We genuinely enjoyed our stay. I would happily return if visiting Kandy again and would definitely recommend this hotel.

− Although the staff were always helpful and willing to organise activities and transport, I would advise future guests to compare prices independently before accepting the proposed option as the best or most cost-effective deal. At times, the prices offered felt higher than necessary, which left a slightly uncomfortable impression. I would encourage the hotel to be more transparent and competitive when recommending or arranging these services. (2) I would also recommend reducing the amount of chemicals used in the pool, if possible. I appreciate that keeping a pool clean in this environment is challenging, and I saw how carefully and thoroughly it was maintained. However, the water felt quite harsh on the skin.

Ik boekte Elegant Hotel Kandy al een tijdje terug met als reden dat het uit het drukke centrum lag en kleinschalig is. We verbleven er 1 nachtje. Bij aankomst was de ontvangst ontzettend hartelijk, tot in de puntjes in orde. We haddden een deluxe room die ook super was. Vooral van het bad heeft onze dochter genoten! Het ontbijt was geen buffet maar werd aan tafel gebracht. Het was in orde, niets op aan te merken. Op het eerste zicht straalt het hotel dus heel veel luxe uit echter zijn er ook minpuntjes. - zwembad: roosters liggen los en deeltjes zijn kapot, zeer gladdige vloer errond - ⁠ondanks het feit dat Booking aangeeft dat er wijn is is het enige alcoholische bier. - ⁠ook geeft Booking als voorzieningen een kidsclub, parasols,bar,.. hier niets van gezien. - ⁠geen toiletartikelen met uitzondering van shampoo en conditioner. - ⁠we bleven 1 nacht en boekten dit omwille van de rust en kleinschaligheid echter van 1u tot 2.30u wakker gehouden door draaiende auto’s, lawaai op de gang. De deur opengedaan en gevraagd of het stiller kon zonder gevolg. - ⁠avondeten in het restaurant was voor ons ietwat teleurstellend. Mijn man vroeg specifiek gegrilde kip maar zeker niet pikant, gerecht was pikant. Voor ons dochter chicken nuggets zonder been, een stuk kip met been. Ikzelf at spaghetti bolognaise. Dit was geen spaghetti bolognaise maar spaghetti met stukken kip erin. Koel restaurant qua sfeer en gezelligheid. Het hotel heeft een chique uitstraling maar ook veel mindere punten. Ze kunnen de tafeltjes zo mooi dekken om gezellig te aperitieven maar doen dit niet. Minibar enkel gevuld met een watertje, daar dus ook geen mogelijkheid om gezellig op de kamer iets te drinken. We hadden toch meer verwacht van dit verblijf.

The best hotel I have stayed at during my trip to Sri Lanka! The location is absolutely fantastic, surrounded by beautiful nature and breathtaking views. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. A special mention to the waiter in the restaurant, who provided exceptional service and was truly wonderful. The room was lovely and comfortable, and the garden and views were absolutely beautiful. Everything about the hotel made my stay feel special and relaxing. I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again!

Boutique Charm, Outstanding Hospitality

We had a wonderful stay at Elegant Hotel. The hospitality was truly outstanding—the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and were always attentive and friendly. The view from the rooms is absolutely breathtaking and one of the highlights of the hotel. Waking up to such a beautiful panorama was an unforgettable experience. The hotel also offers excellent value for money. As a boutique hotel, it has a charming, intimate atmosphere that makes it feel peaceful and personal, far from the crowds of larger resorts. We would definitely recommend Elegant Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with exceptional service, stunning views, and a warm, welcoming ambiance.

Mooi uitzicht, mooi zwembad

− Echt heel oud, kamer was met heel oud vies tapijt en stonk , groen tl licht op de badkamer Kigt echt helemaal alleen op een berg heel ver weg van Kandy stad.
