I am writing to express my absolute outrage and to lodge a formal complaint against the fraudulent financial misconduct regarding my current stay at Chateau de Bouceel now! The original room rate was EUR 820, which you have already deducted from my account. On top of that, you are STILL holding another EUR 820 as a "reserve/pre-authorization" on my card. This illegal double hold is already entirely unacceptable. To make matters worse, yesterday the hotel owner arbitrarily charged my card ANOTHER EUR 300 without any justifiable reason or proper explanation, bringing the total receipt amount to an absurd EUR 1,120. This is outright robbery. You are currently tying up nearly EUR 2,000 of my hard-earned money for a EUR 820 booking! I demand an immediate, line-by-line explanation for the additional EUR 300 charge, and I demand that the EUR 820 illegal hold be released RIGHT NOW. If this matter is not resolved, the unauthorized EUR 300 charge reversed, and the EUR 820 hold canceled within 24 hours, I will immediately: 1. File a dispute with my credit card company for unauthorized and fraudulent transactions. 2. Report both Booking.com and this hotel to the European Consumer Centre (ECC) and local authorities for financial fraud. I expect an immediate response and immediate action. Do not send me automated template.

A wonderful and memorable stay. I would visit again!

The grounds and house are lovely. The dinner was excellent and the staff, especially, the owner, made the stay a memorable experience because of his delightful personality and explanation all of the history of the Château.

− If you are looking for all the amenities of a five star hotel, this may not be for you but if you want to submerge yourself in history, and the flavor of France, then you will have a wonderful stay.

Erika was so sweet. The whole family was amazing. The castle is so beautiful and classic

The stay exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait to return. This is a must do for your next trip to Normandy.

This is a family property that treats their guests like family. Erica and the Count, Regis, were wonderful and truly kind. This was an experience my family and I will always remember. We hope to be back soon.
